Pursuit of it All

My Winter Pursuits

I started on my Covid Winter plan this week. In case you missed it, I recently hacked together some ideas to combat what I know will be a difficult time for me. Winter is my least favorite season in a normal year. I despise cold weather and early darkness. At least in year’s past I could gather with friends. (You see why I’m insistent on a plan now, don’t you?)

Call it ambitious, a distraction or a silly game. It is probably a little bit of all three.

Here’s what I have in mind for the next three months:

  • Physical Challenges: One per month.
  • Mental Challenges: One Masterclass per month.
  • Creative Challenges: Creation of 4-6 articles per month published to Pursuit Of It All plus tackling one non-writing creative project per month.
  • Comfort Zone Challenges: Tackle one project/task each month that takes me into uncomfortable or uncharted territory.

I’ll document my efforts on my social media to keep myself accountable. (Otherwise I’m afraid I may lose myself in a three-month Netflix binge.) If all goes well I hope to come out of hibernation with my sanity intact and a maybe even a little wiser.

Feel free to play along (#pursueitall) if this seems like something you want to try yourself!

Social accounts to follow for challenge updates:

Blogger. Marketer. Deadline juggler. Flibbertigibbet. A fan of all things glitter and girly, Jen’s passions include gabbing with girlfriends, running marathons, sipping (okay, gulping) cocktails and waxing poetic about the tortured soul of Professor Snape. Rarely found without her nose in a book (or her iPhone), she acknowledges that her level of geekery might not be for everyone. Consider yourself warned. Her ultimate goal in life is to be a professional wanderer of the internet or Amy Poehler’s BFF. (Both totally accomplishable, of course.)
